What is a full frontage replacement?

A full frontage replacement means taking out the existing shopfront, making good the opening and fitting a new frontage, usually with a new shutter, in one planned sequence.

The risk on a replacement is the night between the old front coming out and the new one going in. We plan the sequence around that, and aim to leave the unit secure or boarded before anyone leaves site. We also check the lintel and the floor level before anything is ordered, because those two things cause most surprises.

Older openings are rarely square. We measure the structural opening at survey, and again before manufacture if the old frontage hides the real edges.

What do people ask about full frontage replacements?

Will my shop be secure during the replacement?

We plan the sequence around that, and aim to leave the opening secure or boarded before anyone leaves site.

Do you take away the old shopfront?

Yes. Removal and disposal are priced at survey and shown on your written quotation.

What can go wrong with an old opening?

A tired lintel, an uneven floor or walls out of square. We check these at survey and price any work before you accept.
