What is a shutter service?
A shutter service is a planned inspection of the springs, motor, limits, guides, laths and safety brake, with lubrication and a written condition report.
Shutters wear out quietly. Springs tire, brakes stick and guides loosen, and these are the parts that hurt people when they fail. If your staff or customers go near a powered shutter, keeping it in safe working order falls to you, and the manufacturer's instructions set out how often.
Busy shutters need more frequent attention than ones that open once a day. Each visit ends with a written report you can keep for your landlord or insurer.
What are the options?
| Single service | One visit, one shutter |
| Several shutters | One visit for a parade or chain |
| Repeat schedule | Booked to the maker's interval |
