What is a shopfront glass replacement?
Shopfront glass replacement is the measuring, making and fitting of a new pane in an existing frame, in toughened or laminated safety glass.
A broken shop window is a security problem first and a glass problem second. Make the opening safe, call your insurer, then send us a photo and the sizes if you have them. The pane is measured and made to order, so the replacement follows a boarding-up or temporary fix.
It is worth asking about laminated glass at this point. If the window has been broken once, the upgrade often costs little more than a like-for-like pane.
What are the options?
| Toughened | Standard safety glass |
| Laminated | Stays in the frame when hit |
| Double glazed unit | Where the frame takes one |
