What is a manual to electric shutter conversion?
A manual to electric conversion fits a motor and controls to a push-up or hand-operated shutter, so it opens at the turn of a key.
If lifting the shutter is a daily struggle, conversion is usually cheaper than a new shutter. The curtain and guides need to be sound, and the barrel may need changing to take a tubular motor, so an engineer inspects it first.
A power supply is needed near the box. Once a shutter is powered it has to meet the rules for powered doors, including protection against trapping. The guide price covers a typical shutter, and we confirm it after inspection.
