What is a shopfront repair?

A shopfront repair fixes the working parts of a frontage, such as a dropped door, failed closer, sticking lock or loose glazing bead.

Doors are the usual problem. A shop door opens hundreds of times a day, so closers, pivots and hinges wear out long before the frame does. The call-out covers attendance and the first hour of labour, which is often enough for an adjustment.

If the job turns out bigger, you are told on site before more work starts and you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing extra is charged without your agreement.
