What can you expect in Lurgan?
Working in Lurgan means working with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council on planning, and sometimes with a landlord on the lease. We flag both early, so that neither one holds up your opening date.
What makes the difference?
What will my insurer want?
Some insurers name a shutter type or rating, and many ask for locks and service records. Ask them before you order, as it saves a change later.
Surface box or hidden box?
A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.
Do I need a safety edge?
That depends on the risk assessment. Powered shutters near the public are assessed against BS EN 12453, and we quote what the result calls for.

Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
Do you need consent in Lurgan?
Probably, if it is external. Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. In Northern Ireland, councils decide planning applications, and Building Control applications are separate. Listed buildings need listed building consent.
