What makes the difference?
What will my insurer want?
Some insurers name a shutter type or rating, and many ask for locks and service records. Ask them before you order, as it saves a change later.
How long does a shutter last?
Curtains and guides can last many years with planned servicing. Motors, springs and locks go first, and a busy shop will wear them faster.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.

Probably, if it is external. London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too.
