What should you check before you decide?
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
How do you deal with the threshold?
We aim for level or near-level access. New doors need thought about wheelchair and pushchair users, and we check the floor before we promise anything.
What about the fascia and sign?
We set out the fascia at the same time, so your sign fixings and any shutter box do not clash. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area.
How much will it cost?
| Opening width | Typical unit | Guide price plus VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 3 m | A typical single shop unit | £2,450 to £3,995 |
| 3 to 4 m | A wider single unit | £3,195 to £5,195 |
| 4 to 5 m | A double-fronted or corner unit | £3,995 to £6,495 |
| 5 to 6 m | A large double unit | £4,795 to £7,995 |
Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
Do you need consent in Shepherd's Bush?
It depends on how much changes. A new layout, new materials or a moved door usually needs permission from London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
