What else should you know?
Can I phase the work?
Yes. If cash flow is tight, we can fit the frontage first and leave the box, guides and power ready for the shutter later.
How does a joint install save trading time?
The frontage and shutter go in as one sequence, so you close once. With two contractors, you close twice and hope they agree on who damaged what.
What should I do if a shutter or door fails?
Stop using it if it looks unsafe, keep people clear and take a photo. Do not force a stuck shutter, as the springs and barrel are under load.
Do you need consent in Shepherd's Bush?
Probably, if it is external. London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
