What should you check before you decide?
Surface box or hidden box?
A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.
Can the shutter match my frontage?
Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.
Do you need consent in Ely?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so East Cambridgeshire District Council will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
