What can you expect in Neston?
Whether the unit is on the main shopping street or a local parade in Neston, the job is measured the same way, and Cheshire West and Chester Council is the council to check with.
What is worth knowing?
Should I choose solid or perforated?
Solid gives more privacy and strength. Perforated keeps the window working at night. On the outside of a shop, some councils resist both, so check before you choose.
Is the box accessible for servicing?
It has to be. We build in a removable panel so that an engineer can reach the motor, brake and spring parts.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong?
One company. Your contract is with S&K Glazing Limited for both parts, so nobody can point at the other contractor.

Do you need consent in Neston?
Probably, if it is external. Cheshire West and Chester Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
