How does it work in Tredegar?
Our surveys in Tredegar cover postcodes including NP22, along with Ebbw Vale and Rhymney. Planning applications here go to Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, so it is worth reading any shopfront guidance it publishes before anything is drawn.
What makes the difference?
Do I need a safety edge?
That depends on the risk assessment. Powered shutters near the public are assessed against BS EN 12453, and we quote what the result calls for.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.
How is the shutter controlled?
By key switch, remote or both, and we specify a manual override for power cuts. Keep the override instructions somewhere that staff can find them.
