How does it work in Kettering?
Kettering sits in Northamptonshire, and North Northamptonshire Council is the planning authority. For most shops that means checking consent before the order is placed, not after it.
How much will it cost?

| 3 to 4 m | A wider single unit | £6,495 to £8,495 |

Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
What should you check before you decide?
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
How do you deal with the threshold?
We aim for level or near-level access. New doors need thought about wheelchair and pushchair users, and we check the floor before we promise anything.
Can it have a shutter later?
Yes, but it is far neater to allow for one now. Tell us at survey, and we will leave height behind the fascia even if the shutter comes later.
Do you need consent in Kettering?
Usually yes, if the look of the frontage changes. Replacing like for like may not need permission, but North Northamptonshire Council has the final say. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
