What is worth knowing?
What about the fascia and sign?
We set out the fascia at the same time, so your sign fixings and any shutter box do not clash. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area.
How do you deal with the threshold?
We aim for level or near-level access. New doors need thought about wheelchair and pushchair users, and we check the floor before we promise anything.
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
Will this need planning permission in Methil?
A like-for-like replacement often does not need permission, but a visibly different frontage usually does. The application goes to Fife Council. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.

Yes, and it is best planned now. We can price the frontage and shutter as one job.
