How does it work across Dumfries and Galloway?
In Dumfries and Galloway, the usual route is the same wherever you are: a measured survey, an itemised quotation, then fitting at a time that suits the shop. Towns we cover include Dumfries, Stranraer, Annan and Dalbeattie. Dumfries, Annan and Lockerbie are sandstone towns, and the port of Stranraer lies in the far west.

What makes the difference?
Can I keep trading during the work?
Often, in part. Fitting days can be planned for your quiet days, and closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.
What about the fascia and sign?
We set out the fascia at the same time, so your sign fixings and any shutter box do not clash. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area.
Which glass should go in?
Safety glass is needed in doors, side panels and low-level panes. Laminated glass is worth the extra if the street has a history of break-ins.
Will this need planning permission across Dumfries and Galloway?
It depends on how much changes. A new layout, new materials or a moved door usually needs permission from your council. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.
