What should you check before you decide?
Surface box or hidden box?
A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.
What about a fire exit?
A shutter must never trap people in. If it covers an escape route, it needs to be open while the premises are occupied, or opened easily from inside.
How is the shutter controlled?
By key switch, remote or both, and we specify a manual override for power cuts. Keep the override instructions somewhere that staff can find them.
Do you need consent in Tullibody?
An external shutter normally needs planning permission from Clackmannanshire Council. An internal shutter or grille often does not, so it is worth checking before you order. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.
What do people ask about vision roller shutters in Tullibody?
Can you match the shutter to my shopfront?
Yes. We powder coat to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as we can.
Do I need planning permission for a shutter in Tullibody?
An external shutter usually needs it, and Clackmannanshire Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too.
How much does a vision roller shutter cost in Tullibody?
For an opening up to 3 m wide, guide prices start from £2,195 plus VAT. The survey sets the final price.
Vision or perforated: which shows more?
Vision shows more, as the slots are bigger. Perforated gives a softer view and a more solid look.
