What makes the difference?
What will my insurer want?
Some insurers name a shutter type or rating, and many ask for locks and service records. Ask them before you order, as it saves a change later.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.
Surface box or hidden box?
A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.
Do you need consent across Clwyd?
Probably, if it is external. Your council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent, and rules are set by the Welsh Government.
What do people ask about vision roller shutters across Clwyd?
Can you match the shutter to my shopfront?
Yes. We powder coat to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as we can.
Do I need planning permission for a shutter across Clwyd?
An external shutter usually needs it, and your council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too.
