What can you expect in Airdrie?
Most shop owners come to us at one of three points: a new lease, a break-in, or a frontage that has finally given up. In each case the first step is a survey, and we cover postcodes including ML6.
What is worth knowing?
Can the shutter match my frontage?
Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.
Steel or aluminium laths?
Steel is stronger and heavier. Aluminium is lighter and quieter, which helps under flats. Most shops are well served by either.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.

Do you need consent in Airdrie?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so North Lanarkshire Council will normally expect a planning application. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.
What do people ask about vision roller shutters in Airdrie?
Do you cover the postcodes around Airdrie?
Yes, including ML6.
Can you match the shutter to my shopfront?
Yes. We powder coat to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as we can.
Do I need planning permission for a shutter in Airdrie?
An external shutter usually needs it, and North Lanarkshire Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too.
Vision or perforated: which shows more?
Vision shows more, as the slots are bigger. Perforated gives a softer view and a more solid look.
