What happens in Abergavenny?
Working in Abergavenny means working with Monmouthshire County Council on planning, and sometimes with a landlord on the lease. We flag both early, so that neither one holds up your opening date.
What should you check before you decide?
What about a fire exit?
A shutter must never trap people in. If it covers an escape route, it needs to be open while the premises are occupied, or opened easily from inside.
How long does a shutter last?
Curtains and guides can last many years with planned servicing. Motors, springs and locks go first, and a busy shop will wear them faster.
Can the shutter match my frontage?
Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.
What should you budget?

| 3 to 4 m | A wider single unit | £2,795 to £3,595 |

Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
Will this need planning permission in Abergavenny?
Probably, if it is external. Monmouthshire County Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent, and rules are set by the Welsh Government.
