How does it work across the West Midlands?
Our teams cover Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Dudley and the rest of the West Midlands. If your shop is in a conservation area or a listed building, tell us at the start, because it changes the options. Birmingham has the Soho Road and city-centre units, the Black Country has the high streets of Walsall, Dudley and West Bromwich, and Coventry and Wolverhampton are large centres. It is also home ground: our base is at Great Barr.

What makes the difference?
Can it have a shutter later?
Yes, but it is far neater to allow for one now. Tell us at survey, and we will leave height behind the fascia even if the shutter comes later.
Which glass should go in?
Safety glass is needed in doors, side panels and low-level panes. Laminated glass is worth the extra if the street has a history of break-ins.
What about the fascia and sign?
We set out the fascia at the same time, so your sign fixings and any shutter box do not clash. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area.
Will this need planning permission across the West Midlands?
Very likely. Your council will look closely at frontages in conservation areas, and any listed building needs listed building consent as well. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.

Not always, but many councils prefer it. Check your council's guidance before you commit, and we can advise what to look for.
