How does it work across Staffordshire?

From city-centre units to village parades, the job starts the same way. Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Burton upon Trent and Cannock are among the places we cover. Councils here include Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and East Staffordshire. The Potteries towns of Stoke-on-Trent are the largest centre, with Stafford, Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton upon Trent around them.

Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.

What should you think about first?

Steel or aluminium laths?

Steel is stronger and heavier. Aluminium is lighter and quieter, which helps under flats. Most shops are well served by either.

Can the shutter match my frontage?

Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.

Surface box or hidden box?

A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.

Do you need consent across Staffordshire?

Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so your council will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
