What should you check before you decide?
Will the colours really match?
Frame and shutter are powder coated to the same RAL reference. Coating on different materials can vary slightly, which we will show you on samples first.
What decides the final package price?
Width, height, frame material, curtain type, and whether the box can be hidden. Access and strip-out are the other two things that move the price.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong?
One company. Your contract is with S&K Glazing Limited for both parts, so nobody can point at the other contractor.
Do you need consent in Mountain Ash?
Probably, if it is external. Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent, and rules are set by the Welsh Government.
What do people ask about shopfront and shutter packages in Mountain Ash?
Do you cover Mountain Ash for both the shopfront and shutter?
Yes. One surveyor and one fitting team handle both parts in Mountain Ash.
Can you fit a package around my trading hours in Mountain Ash?
Yes. Closed-day or out-of-hours fitting can be arranged.
Who decides planning for a frontage in Mountain Ash?
Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is the planning authority. We tell you at survey what is likely to need consent.
How long will my shop be closed?
That depends on the job, and your quotation sets out the fitting days. We plan the work around trading hours and can arrange closed-day or out-of-hours fitting.
