What happens in Lancaster?
Whether the unit is on the main shopping street or a local parade in Lancaster, the job is measured the same way, and Lancaster City Council is the council to check with.
What makes the difference?
How long does a shutter last?
Curtains and guides can last many years with planned servicing. Motors, springs and locks go first, and a busy shop will wear them faster.
Can the shutter match my frontage?
Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.
How is the shutter controlled?
By key switch, remote or both, and we specify a manual override for power cuts. Keep the override instructions somewhere that staff can find them.
What are the guide prices?

Will this need planning permission in Lancaster?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so Lancaster City Council will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
