How does it work in Forest Gate?
A job starts the same way wherever you are: a measured survey, a look at the lintel and floor level, and a conversation about how the unit trades. We cover postcodes including E7, and we also work nearby in Stratford and Wanstead.
What should you think about first?
How long does a shutter last?
Curtains and guides can last many years with planned servicing. Motors, springs and locks go first, and a busy shop will wear them faster.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.
Does a shutter need planning permission?
An external shutter usually does. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. An internal grille or shutter is usually the safer route, so we can advise what to check before you order.
How much will it cost?

Will this need planning permission in Forest Gate?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so London Borough of Newham will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
