What happens in Thetford?
A frontage in Thetford has to suit the street as well as the shop. Breckland District Council decides what is acceptable where planning applies, so we draw with that in mind.
What should you check before you decide?
Can the shutter match my frontage?
Yes. Curtain, box and guides are powder coated to a RAL colour to match your frame as closely as the finish allows.
Surface box or hidden box?
A surface box under the fascia is quicker and cheaper. A hidden box looks far better, but needs height above the door head and a removable access panel.
Do I need a safety edge?
That depends on the risk assessment. Powered shutters near the public are assessed against BS EN 12453, and we quote what the result calls for.

Do you need consent in Thetford?
An external shutter normally needs planning permission from Breckland District Council. An internal shutter or grille often does not, so it is worth checking before you order. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
