What should you check before you decide?
How long does a shutter last?
Curtains and guides can last many years with planned servicing. Motors, springs and locks go first, and a busy shop will wear them faster.
Do I need a safety edge?
That depends on the risk assessment. Powered shutters near the public are assessed against BS EN 12453, and we quote what the result calls for.
What will my insurer want?
Some insurers name a shutter type or rating, and many ask for locks and service records. Ask them before you order, as it saves a change later.
Do you need consent in Halesowen?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.

How much does a high-security shutter cost in Halesowen?
For an opening up to 3 m wide, guide prices start from £3,995 plus VAT. The survey sets the final price.
Do I need planning permission for a shutter in Halesowen?
An external shutter usually needs it, and Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too.
How soon can you fit a high-security shutter in Halesowen?
Lead time is confirmed on your quotation. We agree the fitting day with you.
What does LPS 1175 mean?
