What can you expect in Catford?
Most shop owners come to us at one of three points: a new lease, a break-in, or a frontage that has finally given up. In each case the first step is a survey, and we cover postcodes including SE6.
What should you check before you decide?
How is the shutter controlled?
By key switch, remote or both, and we specify a manual override for power cuts. Keep the override instructions somewhere that staff can find them.
Do I need a safety edge?
That depends on the risk assessment. Powered shutters near the public are assessed against BS EN 12453, and we quote what the result calls for.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.
What are the guide prices?

| LPS 1175 rated, priced after survey | From £3,995 |
Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
Do you need consent in Catford?
Usually yes, if the shutter goes on the outside. External shutters change how the building looks, so London Borough of Lewisham will normally expect a planning application. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.

How much does a high-security shutter cost in Catford?
