What can you expect in Haddington?
We aim to fit the survey around your opening hours in Haddington, and we also cover Tranent and North Berwick. You get the same written quotation wherever the shop is.
What should you check before you decide?
What does the written quotation show?
Every item: frame, glass, doors, stallriser, strip-out and any electrics. It stays valid for 90 days, and nothing is ordered until you accept.
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
Can I keep trading during the work?
Often, in part. Fitting days can be planned for your quiet days, and closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.
How much will it cost?
| Opening width | Typical unit | Guide price plus VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 3 m | A typical single shop unit | £4,995 to £6,995 |
| 3 to 4 m | A wider single unit | £6,495 to £8,495 |
| 4 to 5 m | A double-fronted or corner unit | £7,995 to £10,295 |
| 5 to 6 m | A large double unit | £9,495 to £11,995 |
Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
Will this need planning permission in Haddington?
It depends on how much changes. A new layout, new materials or a moved door usually needs permission from East Lothian Council. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.
