How does it work across Aberdeenshire and Moray?
We work right across Aberdeenshire and Moray, including Aberdeen, Elgin, Peterhead and Inverurie. Rules on frontages and shutters differ from one council to the next. Councils here include Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Granite is the building material in Aberdeen and Peterhead, while Elgin and much of Moray are built of sandstone, and pale stone frontages show every badly matched frame.

What makes the difference?
What affects the price most?
Width, the number of doors, glass type and any strip-out. A second door or a laminated upgrade moves the figure more than the colour does.
Can it have a shutter later?
Yes, but it is far neater to allow for one now. Tell us at survey, and we will leave height behind the fascia even if the shutter comes later.
What does the written quotation show?
Every item: frame, glass, doors, stallriser, strip-out and any electrics. It stays valid for 90 days, and nothing is ordered until you accept.
Will this need planning permission across Aberdeenshire and Moray?
Usually yes, if the look of the frontage changes. Replacing like for like may not need permission, but your council has the final say. In Scotland, work can also need a building warrant before it starts, and listed buildings need listed building consent from the council.
What do people ask about frameless glass shopfronts across Aberdeenshire and Moray?
How much does a frameless glass shopfront cost across Aberdeenshire and Moray?
Guide prices start from £4,995 plus VAT. Size, doors and glass set the final figure after a free site survey.
Does a new shopfront across Aberdeenshire and Moray need planning permission?
A change to how the frontage looks usually does. Your council is the council to check with, and we advise at survey.
Can you add a shutter to the new shopfront?
Yes, and it is best planned now. We can price the frontage and shutter as one job.
Do glass shopfronts need markings?
Large areas of glass that people could walk into need to be made visible, so we allow for manifestation where it is needed.
