How does it work in Devizes?
Working in Devizes means working with Wiltshire Council on planning, and sometimes with a landlord on the lease. We flag both early, so that neither one holds up your opening date.
What should you check before you decide?
Steel or aluminium laths?
Steel is stronger and heavier. Aluminium is lighter and quieter, which helps under flats. Most shops are well served by either.
How is the shutter controlled?
By key switch, remote or both, and we specify a manual override for power cuts. Keep the override instructions somewhere that staff can find them.
What electrics are needed?
A power supply near the box, installed by a qualified electrician. We show the position on the drawing.

Do you need consent in Devizes?
Probably, if it is external. Wiltshire Council decides. Many councils resist solid external shutters, and some resist perforated ones too. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area. Listed buildings need listed building consent as well.
