What happens across Powys?
From city-centre units to village parades, the job starts the same way. Newtown, Brecon, Welshpool and Llandrindod Wells are among the places we cover. Powys County Council is the council to check with here. Newtown, Brecon and Welshpool are small market centres serving a very large rural county.
What should you check before you decide?
Can I keep trading during the work?
Often, in part. Fitting days can be planned for your quiet days, and closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.
How is the frontage measured?
We measure the structural opening, not the old frame. Lintel condition, floor level and how square the opening is all get recorded at survey.
Should the stallriser stay?
A stallriser protects the bottom of the glass from kicks, trolleys and cleaning water. On older streets it is also part of the look.
