How does it work across Herefordshire?
Our teams cover Hereford, Leominster, Ross-on-Wye and Ledbury and the rest of Herefordshire. If your shop is in a conservation area or a listed building, tell us at the start, because it changes the options. Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye are market towns, where many frontages sit in black-and-white or brick streets.
What is worth knowing?
Which glass should go in?
Safety glass is needed in doors, side panels and low-level panes. Laminated glass is worth the extra if the street has a history of break-ins.
Should the stallriser stay?
A stallriser protects the bottom of the glass from kicks, trolleys and cleaning water. On older streets it is also part of the look.
How is the frontage measured?
We measure the structural opening, not the old frame. Lintel condition, floor level and how square the opening is all get recorded at survey.
