What can you expect across Devon?
We work right across Devon, including Plymouth, Exeter, Paignton and Torquay. Rules on frontages and shutters differ from one council to the next. Councils here include Plymouth, Torbay and East Devon. Plymouth's post-war centre is unlike Exeter's older streets or the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Exmouth.
What are the guide prices?
| Work | Guide price plus VAT |
|---|---|
| Automatic sliding or swing entrance, as a separate job | £3,895 to £11,995 |
Guide prices, not offers. Your written quotation sets the final figure.
What should you think about first?
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
What about the fascia and sign?
We set out the fascia at the same time, so your sign fixings and any shutter box do not clash. Illuminated signs can need advertisement consent, depending on size, position and area.
Can I keep trading during the work?
Often, in part. Fitting days can be planned for your quiet days, and closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.
What do people ask about automatic shop doors across Devon?
How soon can you fit an automatic shop door across Devon?
Lead time is confirmed on your quotation. We book the fitting days around your trading.
How much does an automatic shop door cost across Devon?
Guide prices start from £3,895 plus VAT. Size, doors and glass set the final figure after a free site survey.
Does a new shopfront across Devon need planning permission?
A change to how the frontage looks usually does. Your council is the council to check with, and we advise at survey.
Can an existing door be made automatic?
Often, with a swing operator, if the door and frame are sound.
