How does it work in Mayfair?
Local rules matter more than people expect. City of Westminster handles planning for Mayfair, and its view of external shutters and frontage changes shapes what we recommend.
What is worth knowing?
Which glass should go in?
Safety glass is needed in doors, side panels and low-level panes. Laminated glass is worth the extra if the street has a history of break-ins.
What does the written quotation show?
Every item: frame, glass, doors, stallriser, strip-out and any electrics. It stays valid for 90 days, and nothing is ordered until you accept.
Which colours work best?
Dark greys and black are the most requested because they frame the shop well. In a conservation area, ask us first, as colour can matter to the council.
