Steel shopfronts across Buxton
Steel shopfronts in Buxton start from about £3,600 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
For businesses in Buxton, we survey the opening before any price is given which is how the steel shopfronts end up the right size.
Timescales
Expect 5-6 weeks after drawing sign-off for manufacture. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
What gets fitted
Steel takes an impact that aluminium will not, so it is the usual choice for units that have been targeted before or that sit on a late-night street. Popular choices include crittall-style glazing bar patterns; pairs well with a roller shutter for two layers of delay.
Nearby
Buxton falls within Derbyshire and the SK postcode area, so the team is regularly nearby in Ilkeston, Glossop and Derby.
Planning rules in Buxton
In Buxton, applications go to High Peak Borough Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but anything that alters the look of the street usually needs consent. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
Costs
Steel shopfronts start at around £3,600 plus VAT. Size, specification and strip-out decide the exact number. Quotations stay valid for 90 days.
Questions from Buxton customers
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Buxton and the rest of Derbyshire, including Ilkeston, Glossop and Derby.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
