Steel shopfronts across Northampton

For businesses in Northampton, we start by measuring the actual opening, not a photo so the steel shopfronts arrive made to fit.

Planning rules in Northampton

The local planning authority for Northampton is West Northamptonshire Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, whereas a new look, an outside shutter box or a lit fascia generally needs an application. We check which applies to your unit at survey.

Price guide

Guide price: from £3,600 plus VAT for a standard opening. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.

From order to fitted

Expect 5-6 weeks after drawing sign-off for manufacture. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. Closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.

Specification notes

Steel takes an impact that aluminium will not, so it is the usual choice for units that have been targeted before or that sit on a late-night street. Common specifications: laminated glass options for attack resistance; crittall-style glazing bar patterns.

Coverage

Northampton falls within Northamptonshire and the NN postcode area, with regular work in neighbouring Corby, Wellingborough and Daventry.
