Do you need consent?
West Northamptonshire Council decides planning in Northampton. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
Price guide
Insulated roller shutters start at around £1,850 plus VAT. The real figure comes from the survey measurements. The written quotation is valid for 90 days.
Timescales
Allow 2-3 weeks after survey from drawings to delivery. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. If you cannot close, we can work outside trading hours.
Specification notes
Twin-wall laths are filled with foam, which reduces heat loss and draughts through the opening and takes the edge off street noise. You can specify twin-wall aluminium laths; foam-filled core.

Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Northamptonshire?
Yes. We cover Northampton and the rest of Northamptonshire, including Corby, Wellingborough and Daventry.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
