Permission and Bassetlaw District Council
Bassetlaw District Council decides planning in Worksop. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. The survey confirms which rules apply.
What it costs in Worksop
The entry price is about £1,750 plus VAT. Size, specification and strip-out decide the exact number. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
Lead times
Expect 2-3 weeks after survey for manufacture. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. Closed-day or out-of-hours work can be arranged.
What gets fitted
Punched laths let passers-by see the window display after closing time while the shutter still secures the opening. Popular choices include punched or micro-perforated laths; window display stays visible when closed.
