Planning rules in Solihull
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council decides planning in Solihull. A straight replacement is normally permitted, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. You will know before you order.
How much?
Budget from £2,450 plus VAT as a starting point. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
From order to fitted
Allow 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off from drawings to delivery. Installation in Solihull is usually a day or two once everything is made. If you cannot close, we can work outside trading hours.
The product
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Popular choices include low-threshold entrance options for level access; thermally broken or non-thermal sections to suit the unit.

FAQs
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
What do you need from me to quote?
The address, roughly what you want, and a photo of the current frontage. Opening sizes help but are not essential, because we measure at survey anyway.
